The Reverend Andrew Johnson

Welcome to St. Andrew’s Church, Purlwell.

I am the Church’s Vicar, Andrew Johnson. Pauline is my wife and we have two children. I have been in post since 2003, having moved up from Hitchin in the Diocese of St. Albans to become the first incumbent of the newly created benefice of St. Andrew’s and Batley, All Saints.

In 2010, St. Andrew’s celebrates its centenary, a centenary of continued Christian witness to the people of Mount Pleasant, an area that has changed a great deal with the passage of time. An exciting series of events is planned throughout the year, culminating in a special service next December.

Our weekly worship, to which everyone is invited, is centred on the Eucharist and our fellowship is always warm and friendly.
