Over 30 years ago, Mount Pleasant Islamic Trust was founded, and invested in the old church hall next to the Scouts hall on Purlwell Lane. The local community around St Andrwes, recognizing our common and shared principles, was accommodating and helpful in getting the Muslim communities settled in the area.

We have over the years shared a common platform and worked very closely on a number of projects to mutua; benefit of the communities, giving both old and young people opportunities to take part in activities, gain self confidence and a better understanding of each other.

It is no surprise to see St Andrews celebrate 100 years in the area, as it core values have stood the test of time and we within MPIT look forward to celebrate our 100 years with St Andrews.
